I started mowing the yard and once I got to the south side it was time to move and mow, this got Sheldon motivated to move the round pen panels, wood pile, rock stack, rafters and the windows, by the end of the day it looked so nice. We cleaned out the feed shed to make a kitty house.
those dang cabbage root maggots got my cauliflower, symptoms the leaves wilted so pulled out and wala! DAM! I pulled all radishes and this cauliflower. We ate it for supper and it was so delicious, needed a few more months to grow :-(
progress.. did not get shaggy before shots.. darn it
moving the rafters into the trailer until I suggested under it maybe?
the kitty house to the right
Isn't Britt the best daughter.. she made these refreshing beverages for her parents.. that and she wanted to go get her kitties :-)
At around 4 we headed to town to grab kitty food and were off to pick out some kittens to catch the mice we seem to have growing in the yard. At the Nelson house, Britt and I picked the 2 quietest kittens, an orange boy and a black girl. We enjoyed a beverage before heading back to town where we bought kitty litter, got gas and printed the last pictures needed to submit 4-H record books.
A late at 7:30 supper was enjoyed before Sheldon headed out to open the hay field for Britt with the newly serviced swather.
Britt and I rode horses for conditioning me taking Daisy and her Bird, then we made sure the kitties we battened down for the night before we all hit the bath tub or shower. I read my book until about 1:30. It is the new one of Kristin Hannah called Night Road, hits pretty close to home.
Shaina worked both jobs from 2-10 and stayed in to visit Brandon for a bit before getting home at 11:30 and worked on her 4-H book along with Britt until wee hours of the morning
