Day 469 is our Heritage day. It started early for Sheldon who was out watering all 57 trees by 7 am. I was up soon after packing food and tidying the house in preparation to leave. I rousted the girl and Britt was up just after 8 followed by a drag out of bed for Shaina around 8:30. By 9 they were saddled and off for a ride before we left. Back in after the ride they finished packing and we loaded up and we underway to the Okanagan Valley by 11 but had to go to town for gas and then bank then tims so did not officially get away until noon.

The trip went well until just half hour out of golden where an accident slowed us up for 3 hours.

We eventually got going but it was snails pace until Revelstoke. And we hit rain at Revelstoke to Vernon! We
stopped there for supper and then continued on getting to Vernon at
about 10:30 AB time, 9:30 BC time. It was nice to arrive and enjoy a
cold drink on the deck and visit before hitting the sheets after a long
day!
