455 - Tessa heads home to Texas

Day 455 was a stormy night, rain came down a few times but 5 am was the worst. It was socked in and coming down but when I awoke at 8:30 it was sunny and beautiful. A friend stopped to pick up Shaina's little purple bike and fix up for a kids bike charity just after 9 (If you have any bikes needing a good home I will pass her information on). The girls were up and we had Tessa loaded up and heading to the airport around 9:30.

Bittersweet was her drop off. She is a lovely young woman and was a delight to have in our home for the 3 weeks. We dropped her and her bags at 10:45 and after hugs we watched her head in to the airport to catch her flight home to Texas. We will miss her smiley face!

Then we were off to do some shopping. Britt and I found jeans including another pair of white ones for me at Value Village. Costco was the next stop where we needed to restock on many items. We grabbed lunch of hot dog fries and sundaes however on the way to Sunridge ,a turn had the fries and ketchup falling all over Shaina and my car. This was not a very good scene but I grabbed baby wipes and stain remover at Zellers and we got most of it cleaned up. A quick stop to grab Ipod cables and we were off home by 1:30. By now a huge wind had moved in and we bucked it all the way home. It was a terrible, miserable wind making you close all windows and stay inside. However Britt did go change kitty litter while Shaina took off to town.

At around 4:30, Jeff came out to take the forms off the sidewalk. Sheldon was home soon after. Chicken, rice, broccoli and salad was enjoyed by the entire family including Kaylin. After supper she and Shaina took Diego back to town to walk with friends. Sheldon made a grand cleaning effort on the garage for the weekend Walker family reunion. Britt and Shaina both have a list of chores to do by then and are working at them fairly steady.

I updated the blog and uploaded pictures of the w/e on fb while doing accounting and cleaning my desk as well as laundry, plain old everyday drudgery. Shaina was back at 8 to meet a lady for garage sale items and then Cassidy and Shannon came for a horse ride then they had a fire where Emily and 3 gentlemen joined them till around 12:30.
