Day 466 is the first day of
heritage days stampede here in Strathmore. It started out dreary and overcast so we slept in. Amanda picked me up at 10 and off to the city we went for her doctor appointment. Asher and I just hung out in the old children's hospital building while she had it and then it was back to the ranch by noon. Britt jumped in with her and went to town for the rodeo portion of the day.
Sheldon and I headed in around 3 doing various errands like picking up more beer and groceries and finding a new shirt to exchange for the one Kaylin got him for his bday. Shaina came home for lunch and her and Brandon rode to start the horses getting back in shape for club tournament Aug 18 w/e.
We met Kaylin at the arena at 4 where Encana hosted the stampede barbeque. Shaina stopped after riding and before work for a drink and snacks. She then went to work at the Station from 5-10 staying in at Kaylins after to celebrate. Kaylin headed to work for 6 to close but it was a nice supper. The Stouts joined us too and we had a nice evening of supper and the chuck wagons with motor bikers thrown in for yet more action. The Mackenzie's joined us too for the action parts. After it was over Stouts headed home and we had a couple drinks and visited before heading home ourselves at 10:30.
