509 - riding or chores

Day 509 became a day of choice. Polox club was having the annual camp out w/e, this year at Sandy McNabb. We made baked potatoes and got steak and corn ready as well as snacks last night in hopes of heading out. I even arranged a place for Britt to stay (Brooke's of course). But after a later wake up we tossed and turned it over and decided that there was indeed too much to do yet on the ranch to take the day off. It was sealed when our bridesmaid, Tami called saying she was in town and they hoped to pop out tonight.

So then the day progressed to chores on the list. I washed windows by hand this time and cleaned house while searching and taking calls for our St Lucia trip. I tried scrubbing the deck with 2 different brooms but it did not seem to remove allot of Diego's grime. :-0)

Shaina slept until around noon then Brandon popped out and they headed out on an adventurous ride :-) After the ride she dressed and headed to work at the golf course then stayed in to go out with Shannon who was home for the weekend and slept at Kaylin's. Britt worked training up Brooke and then stayed over again to work tomorrow.

Sheldon spent the morning planning the barbeque deck/garage landing then ran to town later in the afternoon and picked up scaffolding to replace the yard light as well as lumber for the pad and next Friday's post pounding day for the shelter wind breaks.

For super we barbequed steaks and were on the verge of loading up and going to join the club for an evening of campfire fun but decided we would continue to hold out for Tami to arrive. We also invited a few other neighbors over but all were busy and Tami & Jeff never did make. The thing about company or planned company is the nice clean house! Sheldon and I enjoyed a great night of pool , it has been months since we played.

After dark, it was obvious there was something in the yard light not working but the electrician figured it out in no time. Let there be light!
